What's the Choreo Team?
The CLE WCS Choreography Team is an exciting new opportunity starting in 2025 for Cleveland/Akron area dancers to learn West Coast Swing at an accelerated pace through a choreographed routine. It's a performance-based, non-competitive team and is meant to be a supplemental learning environment to regular group classes. It can also be a great opportunity as a stand-alone activity. The team is open to new and experienced dancers of any style.
What Are the Details?
The intro season is a seven-week program on select Sundays in early 2025. No audition required, but familiarity with basic patterns is recommended (eg. left side pass, sugar push, whip, etc.). Students may sign up as an individual or as a couple at the link below.
Program dates: Jan. 5, 12, 19, Feb. 9, 16, 23, & Mar. 2
When: Seven (7) non-consecutive Sundays, 6:30-7:30PM
Where: Viva Dance Studio, 1541 E 38th St, Cleveland, OH 44114
Cost: The program cost is $225 per person to be paid in full or in two installments.
Includes: Seven (7) intensive dance classes taught by WSDC All-Star Evan Schreiber with video recaps and personalized instruction. Also includes team apparel and performance opportunities at the end of the program.
Expectations: By joining the team, dancers are committing to attending all classes, learning the full routine, and performing at the end of the program. Dancers are responsible for learning any choreo for classes they miss by the next class. If dancers know in advance of multiple schedule conflicts, please reach out to Evan to discuss the best option for being on the team.
